Roof repairs in Manchester

Find the leak, fix the cause, and leave the sound parts of the roof alone.

Seen cracks or splits round the edges of your flat roof? Spotted a damp patch on the ceiling? Got loose or missing tiles, or a roof covered in moss? Each one is a sign the roof needs work to keep the house dry, warm and structurally sound. We carry out roof repairs and maintenance across north Manchester to fix leaks, put right general wear and tear, and repair the damage the weather does.

A stain on the ceiling shows where the water landed, not where it got in. Rain finds its way under a slipped tile, a cracked slate, split lead or a washed-out ridge joint, runs along the felt and the timbers, and only then shows indoors. We trace that route on the roof itself, so the repair closes the way in instead of patching the symptom.

On the Victorian and Edwardian terraces of Moston, Newton Heath and Blackley, and the stone and brick terraces of Oldham and Rochdale, the usual culprits are slipped slates, tired ridge mortar, lead that has lifted at the chimney and valleys silted up with moss. Hazhar M. called us about a leak into his front bedroom and wrote that we did an amazing job. Ajay K. had a leak in his front roof fixed straight away and wrote that heavy storms afterwards let in no water.
